One of Uzbekistan’s largest gastronomic events is in full swing in the city of Samarkand!

1 AUGUST
On the opening day, master chefs from all 14 regions of Uzbekistan presented their unique varieties of plov, each representing the culinary traditions of their region. The competition was held in a championship format — every dish stood out with its taste, technique and presentation. 

2 AUGUST
As part of the festival, the International Great Silk Road Cuisine Festival took place. Chefs from China, Turkey, India, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and many other countries prepared and showcased their national dishes. It turned into a true celebration of world cuisines and cultures!

3 AUGUST
The most anticipated event of the festival! In the historic center of Samarkand — on the territory of the Eternal City — a giant 7-TON Samarkand plov will be prepared! This is not only a culinary record, but also a symbol of our nation’s generosity and love for traditional cuisine.
