On February 3, 2025, an important meeting was held at the Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee, Niyazov Sardor Mukhtorovich, a representative of one of the world’s most prestigious culinary schools, Le Cordon Bleu — KiJung Hyun (Manager for Trade Development and Student Admissions at Le Cordon Bleu Paris), and the Chairman of the Uzbekistan Chefs Association, A. Umarov.
During the meeting, the participants discussed issues related to promoting Uzbek national cuisine on an international scale, turning it into a global gastronomic brand, and developing gastronomic tourism in Uzbekistan.
Le Cordon Bleu is one of the world’s most renowned culinary academies, with a history spanning several centuries. Its knowledge and expertise, along with a strong interest in Uzbek cuisine, will help elevate the culinary industry in Uzbekistan to a new level.
These initiatives aim to foster the development of gastronomic tourism, introduce Uzbek national dishes to the global stage, and enhance the qualifications of professionals in the culinary field.
The Uzbekistan Chefs Association and the Tourism Committee plan to expand international cooperation and implement large-scale projects in this direction.
