PARTICIPATION OF THE ASSOCIATION OF CHEFS OF UZBEKISTAN AT THE

On June 15, a pilaf summit was held in Moscow at the Dorogomilovsky market, which was attended by more than 26 thousand people. Such a culinary summit was held in Moscow for the first time, despite the fact that not a small number of connoisseurs of oriental cuisine live in the capital of Russia.

The Association of Chefs of Uzbekistan, represented by Chairman Umarov Akbar Hamdamovich, took part in this event. As Chairman of the Association of Chefs of Uzbekistan, member of the jury Akbar Umarov noted during an interview, the pilaf summit was one of those major gastronomic events in which Uzbek cuisine is presented everywhere, which is an integral part of the rich national culture of Uzbekistan. "We are very pleased to see how this pilaf festival pleases everyone: chefs from local Uzbek, Indian, Spanish and other restaurants gathered here, and our colleagues from Tashkent, Samarkand, Khorezm, Ferghana joined them in order to show a variety of regional pilafs of Uzbekistan," he continues. –The feedback we receive from numerous summit visitors representing various professions and strata of society testifies to the genuine interest of residents and guests of the Russian capital in the culture, art, and history of Uzbekistan, which will undoubtedly serve to further strengthen friendly ties between the peoples of our countries." The pilaf summit was also attended by members of the Association of Chefs of Uzbekistan in Moscow "Teahouse Fig" Chef Sunnatilla Tokhtajaev and Shaumar Abdullaev.

Pilaf helps to get together with friends, and there are very few dishes in the world that are aimed at large friendly companies, good mood and pleasant conversations. In the near future, I think, pilaf will be declared a gastronomic monument of Uzbekistan. Any product of Uzbek, Italian, Spanish, Georgian cuisine, in my opinion, should be prepared by national chefs – people representing these countries. And today's event gave an opportunity to pilaf lovers, and almost every family here can be attributed to such, to receive master classes directly from professionals who prepare this wonderful dish." According to the organizers, the pilaf championship for culinary professionals is an opportunity to share creative findings and offer their culinary masterpieces to the general court, and for novice chefs it is a good opportunity to communicate directly with famous masters of their craft. The event was attended by more than 30 thousand guests, who in turn had the opportunity to expand their understanding of the geography and possibilities of cooking pilaf.

The Formula of the East International Festival and concept chef Hakim Ganiev will hold the Pilaf Summit culinary championship, where oriental restaurants and chefs, representatives of different countries and peoples, cooked dishes in the fresh air according to their recipe and compete for the title of "The Best Pilaf 2013". The participants of the championship were evaluated by an independent jury consisting of specially invited professional chefs and experts, culinary community, media and show business stars. Each participant was provided with an equipped platform where it was possible to place a participant's stand, a hearth with a boiler and a table for preparing products. All participants were awarded honorary diplomas, souvenirs, and valuable prizes and medals to the winners.
