It is known that October 16 is marked as World Food Day. This year marks the 79th anniversary of the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). World Food Day is celebrated in more than 150 countries.

On October 14-15, a festival dedicated to World Self-Defense Day was held at the Presidential School in Nukus, Republic of Karakalpakstan. Skilled chefs from the construction of the "Korakalpok General Catering" enterprises took part in it and prepared meals, served them on the tables and distributed them to the students free of charge.
