On August 8, 2025, the Uzbekistan Chefs Association welcomed Mr. Balint Balazs and Ms. Carmen Tzett from the Environmental Social Science Research Group (ESSRG, Hungary). During the visit, the guests were introduced to the Association’s activities, its educational and cultural projects, and its contributions to the development of the national foodservice sector.
The parties discussed the current state and future prospects of the urban food system, the role of public catering in shaping Uzbekistan’s gastronomic image, and outlined priority areas for further cooperation.
The Uzbekistan Chefs Association expresses its gratitude to the FAO Representation in Uzbekistan for the initiative and organization of the visit, and looks forward to new joint projects aimed at advancing culinary culture and strengthening food security in the country.
