The participation of the Uzbek Chefs Association team in the 8th International Culinary Championship in Saloniki (Greece)
Thessaloniki the northern capital of Greece, the capital of Greek Macedonia, a major industrial center and the "most Balkan city" of Greece – lies on the northeastern shore of the Tesaloniki Bay of the Thermaikos Gulf, at the very base of the Halkidiki Peninsula.
In this wonderful historical city, from March 7 to March 10, 2013, the 8th International Culinary Art Championship was held with the support of the World Association of Chef Communities WACS. The culinary championship brought together many participants from different countries of the world. The festival was attended by teams from Uzbekistan, Russia, Cyprus, England, France, Mongolia, Ukraine, Moldova, Serbia, Israel, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece and many others.
The team of the Association of Chefs of Uzbekistan was represented by Umarov Akbar Hamdamovich – chairman of the association, honorary member of the World Association of Chef Communities WACS, invited as a member of the jury, Uzakov Burkhon - chef of the team, who participated in the carving nomination and won a bronze medal and diploma. Mukhtarov Abdurazak is a chef of the APU team who won a bronze medal in the Asian cuisine nomination, a diploma for participation in the fish and loin nomination, Ahmad Hamdamov is a junior chef, the youngest participant of the culinary championship won a gold medal in the pasta nomination. In the Grand Prix team competition, the Uzbek team received a diploma for "showing Uzbek national cuisine and culture".
The participants of the festival in Greece returned to their usual business: work, study. In terms of the Association of Chefs of Uzbekistan - participation in competitions held this year and next year. And they returned to their homeland with awards and impressions, which are enough for colleagues, friends, and all representatives of the mass media of Uzbekistan.
